ONGOING PROGRAMS
Our church has a number of ministries and programs that combine the efforts and interests of members and others within the community. Anyone interested in participating, or who would like more information should email Sandy at conguccah1@sbcglobal.net
Choir and Choir Concerts Our choir shares their amazing gift of song during worship from September through June. Participation in choir is open to all enthusiastic youths and adults. Several times a year, under the direction of Al Engram, our choir performs special concerts, either alone or with other musical groups in the area. Concerts (and all other church events) are always free and all are welcome. |
Stephen Ministry Stephen Ministry equips lay persons to provide distinctively Christian one-to-one care to those who are experiencing all kinds of life needs and circumstances, both in our congregation and community. |

Each spring, one acre of land behind our parking lot is divided into plots available to any interested gardeners in the community. One special plot, the Giving Garden, grows vegetables for local food pantries.
Meals on Wheels For over 20 years, our congregation has assisted Wheeling Township by delivering Meals on Wheels during the month of July.
Mission Trips Once a year, our youth participate in a mission trip to help those in need, most recently in North Dakota and New Hampshire. In 2006, an adult group traveled to Florida to repair homes that were damaged by 2005 hurricanes.

Journeys from PADS to HOPE The Congregational UCC of Arlington Heights has served as a Thursday night P.A.D.S. shelter for 15 years. Working together with Protestant, Catholic and Jewish congregations and individuals from our community, we are able to house and feed up to 60 homeless persons between October and May, as part of the larger northwest suburban Journey from P.A.D.S. to HOPE effort.
